PlayStar has named bet365 Head of Casino Dan Alexander as its new COO.
The challenger online casino brand is scheduled to launch in New Jersey later this year.
Alexander joins PlayStar having spent the last three years as Head of Casino at bet365, following on from his role as Head of Product and Platform at Mansion. Throughout his time at the former, Alexander’s duties included bringing the company into new global markets, and managing a team responsible for over ten international gaming licences.
“Dan brings a massive amount of product, operational, marketing and industry knowledge to PlayStar and I am delighted to welcome him to the team,” said PlayStar CEO Per Hellberg. “By adding his great managerial skills to the mix, we have the perfect set-up to take the next steps in our exciting journey to become the number one casino brand in New Jersey.

In his new role at PlayStar, Alexander will use his previous experience to “build the foundations of the brand’s online casino product.” He will also play a key role in expanding the PlayStar team “with more of the brightest minds and creative talents in the industry.”
