Online casino games maker and publisher Yggdrasil has recently celebrated its entry into a new regulated market as part of an extended deal with its existing operator partner Tipsport.
The supplier announced earlier this week that it has made its market debut in Slovakia with the launch of its content in that market with Tipsport.
The online gambling operator’s players now have access to Yggdrasil’s extensive games portfolio including titles that feature the provider’s proprietary Game Engagement Mechanics (GEM). Tipsport’s Slovakian operation has also integrated exclusive content from Yggdrasil’s YG Masters program for third-party studios to deliver it to its players.
Established in 2013, Yggdrasil has quickly cemented a leading position in the market. The company is headquartered in Sweden and runs offices in Malta, Poland and Gibraltar. In 2019, Yggdrasil launched three pioneering propositions – YG Franchise, YG Masters, and YG Game IP – enabling young game development studios to implement its industry knowledge and experience in crafting and distributing their own content.
As for Tipsport, it was founded in 1991 to quickly become one of the Czech Republic’s leading betting agencies. The company later on ventured into the online gambling space and expanded its presence across other markets.
In Slovakia, Tipsport has been offering retail and online sports betting for many years. It recently launched an online casino operation to complement its existing offering in that market, following the 2019 reorganization of the country’s digital gambling space.
A Huge Achievement
Commenting on their latest big expansion news, Yggdrasil Chief of Global Market Operations Björn Krantz said that going live in “yet another key regulated market is a huge achievement for us as we continue to implement our growth strategy in Europe and beyond.”
Yggdrasil’s Slovakia market debut also marks the expansion of the supplier’s existing relationship with Tipsport. The two companies first teamed up in 2019 in a deal that enabled the provider to debut its content in the operator’s domestic Czech iGaming market.
Mr. Krantz said that they have had a “very successful partnership with Tipsport in the Czech Republic and are thrilled to extend this collaboration to Slovakia.” The official further pointed out that their games have resonated well with the operator’s Czech players and that they are confident they will be found equally appealing by Slovakian players.
Tipsport Online Casino Manager Tomas Chyle added that “Yggdrasil’s portfolio offers a wide range of immersive, innovative and engaging games that have great appeal to our customer base.” He also noted that they are very excited to expand their existing partnership with the content maker and supplier as Tipsport grows its brand in Slovakia and that by adding Yggdrasil’s content, they have significantly strengthened their “fledgling casino offering” in that market.
